Detailed Gramophone Locations
Tired of looking for the gramophones? Are their location details too vague? Here is a list of all 24 gramophones and their detailed locations including: map screen-shots, island screen-shots, and easy to follow directions to their locations. Not to mention, they are placed below in an easy to follow order that will cost the least in travel expenses.
Don't have the gramophone? Stop by the Tool Shop on Tiger Isle to purchase the gramophone for $1.1 million. Then head on over to Bud Isle to start the quest. You'll need an underwater helmet to get there, and to reach many of the isles with record presses, so be sure to purchase that as well.
Good luck on your quest!
Before you begin, here's a brief list of the record press locations and a map marking each isle:
Seedling Isle
Stem Isle White Isle Ice Cube Isle Crystal Isle Harbor Isle |
Windy Pines Isle
Line Isle Islands Lake Isle Seashell Isle Big Forest Isle Totem Isle |
Deep Jungle isle
Oak Isle Vine Isle Desert Isle Lost Isle Swampy Isle |
Prairie Isle

Seedling Isle
On the way back after starting the record press quest, the first one you will find is on Seedling Isle. It's not very easy to miss, being due south of the reef entrance that leads to Sprout Isle.
Stem Isle
The next record press you'll come across is the one on Stem. You need to head to the far east (right) side of the isle for this one. It's a little trickier to find, but it's still fairly easy.
If you find you're having too hard of a time: go all the way to the far right end of Stem and on the beach look for the single white log that's laying horizontally (it looks like it's pointing left -west- ). Follow it due west and you'll find the gramophone after about 400 pedometer steps.

That's it for the Leaf (flower) Isles. The next group I chose to go to was Glacier, though really they can be done in any pattern.

White Isle
This one can be quite a hassle to find on such a large isle. Here's a fairly easy way to go about finding it:
Know that little igloo village just east of the dock? Go there and stand right above the northernmost igloo. You'll be near two trees. Head due east to the Yeti Cave.
Now, go to the far right side of the Yeti Cave.
From there head due south until you reach the ice area shown in the picture. ----->

Ice Cube Isle
Since this is such a small isle, this one is really easy to spot. Just head north of the dock and to the west of the Ice Sculpture mini-game.
Crystal Isle
Not too bad of an island to search, but a quick way to find the record press is by starting at the entrance of the Lighthouse. From there go due south until you run into a snow mound. Then just go a very short way east and you'll see the record press.
Or another way if the one above doesn't work well for you: Go south from the doghouse by the dock to the ice pillars. Then head due east about 450 pedometer steps. You'll have to dodge another area of ice pillars, but you'll run right into the record press.

And that's all of them for the Glacier (snow) Isles. Let's head to the Narrowed Isles.

Harbor Isle
Again, a small isle so there's really no searching. Just head south of the reef entrance.
Windy Pines Isle
This one is pretty easy to find too. Starting at the doghouse by the ButterBurr Family Cabin, just head southwest. You'll pass an iron ore rock right before coming to the two dead trees and the record press.
Another way is to go to the far left side of the island where there is another group of iron ore rocks and some Daylilies. Head due east from there about 180 pedometer steps.

On to the Angled Forest Isles.

Line Isle
Again, this isle is another place that is fairly easy to search, especially since the record press is located in the small forest area.
Having trouble finding it still? Go northeast from the doghouse for around 230 pedometer steps. You'll see it there between the Vole mini-game and Tent mini-game.

Islands Lake Isle
Finding this record press is easy: getting to it can be a different matter entirely.
You can find the record press on the middle island in the lake. To get there you need to have some strawberries on hand and go visit the little swimmer turtle. Feed him a strawberry and hope he takes you to the island you want. This could take several tries.

Seashell Isle
For this record press just go northeast a short ways from the dog house (Logic Dog mini-game).
Big Forest Isle
It can be a little overwhelming searching for the record press on this isle. To the northwest of it is a Tent mini-game.
Probably the easiest way I found to locate it is:
As soon as you leave the dock, head due west for about 229 pedometer steps. You'll find you're stopped by a log. Then go down for 50 steps. Then head due west. You'll come right to the record press.

That's it for the Meadow Isles. I only skipped Oak and counted it as a Jungle Isle to check. And on that note, on to the Jungle Isles.

Totem Isle
Spotting the record press on this isle is a cinch. ;D
Deep Jungle Isle
Instead of wandering the jungle aimlessly, try this:
As soon as you arrive on Deep Jungle, head due south of the rowboat about 330 pedometer steps.
It's as easy as that!

Oak Isle
Got the record press on Deep Jungle Isle? Might as well head to Oak Isle to get the next one.
For those who don't know how to get to Oak Isle: to the left of the lake on Deep Jungle Isle is a small cave. Inside there, you need to click the levers in the correct combination. Last I knew, this is the combination: R M L M R R.
Now that you're on Oak Isle: go 220 steps south from MrAirCue's House's mailbox.

Vine Isle
Here on Vine Isle, go to LadyTreasure's Hut. Then head due south from there for around 128 pedometer steps. There should be a large rock in your way. Go around to the right side of the rock. Starting from there go down about 250 pedometer steps.
Now let's head on over to the Dry Isles.

Desert Isle
Desert Isle is such a large isle to search but luckily there are two simple methods to find the record press.
(1) You can use the donkeys to help you. When you arrive you can either take the donkey or walk to the bottom of the isle where the rowboat is. There, have that donkey take you back. He'll drop you off halfway. From there, just head northeast and you'll eventually come across the record press. [A big thanks to a bud who informed me of this technique.]
(2) You can start at the pond (oasis) closest to the dock. Head west from the pond to the sphinx statue. Then, starting at the front left foot, head southwest about 400 pedometer steps.

Lost Isle
Probably the hardest part about this record press is getting to Lost Isle, for those who don't know the not-so-secret way.
First you'll want to head to Decay Isle. When you arrive head west to the graveyard. You'll see a small pile of dirt and a shovel that you can click on and click "Dig". Travel through the tunnel and you'll find yourself in a Haunted House.
To get out of the Haunted House go:
Up Right Down Down Down
Now you're on Lost Isle and the record press is just above the house.

And onwards to the Marshy Isles. There's only one record here to worry about.

Swampy Isle
On Swampy Isle finding the gramophone is fairly easy if you know where the closed off area is. If you don't, here's some instructions to follow to get there:
Starting to the right of the Lighthouse entrance head around 325 pedometer steps east (you'll notice you pass one fly trap on the way). Then head south for around 480 pedometer steps (you'll have to dodge a couple swamp spots). The flytrap in the picture here should now be in view slightly to your right.

Last, but certainly not least, we'll head on to the Plains Isles group where we'll get our last record presses.

Prairie Isle
The record press here isn't as hard to find as you might think. Just go between the split river, following along the top of the bottom one, and as you wander along the bend you'll see the record press.
As you can tell by the picture:
You can see a sliver of river. ---->

Twin Rivers Isle
In this picture I included a screen shot of the map since Twin Rivers is such a large isle.
The quickest way to locate this record press with little-to-no trouble is to follow along the north of the river, keeping the river in sight, and look for a Furbur named RippleFur. Once you find RippleFur, head due north of him and you'll stumble across the record press.

Crater Mountain Isle
I've witnessed a lot of people having trouble with this record press, while in fact it's simple to locate. Here in the top left corner of the picture you can see the entrance to Crater Mountain Isle.
As soon as you arrive on Crater Mountain Isle, head southeast and the record press is right there.
Sometimes people will say it's on the grassy area of the isle. This is just saying that it's not up on any of the ridges, though I've seen it sometimes confuses people. Forest land (Terrain-wise) but grass land (in general being non-mountain area).
And a random tidbit - pot of gold on forest land:

Note: It may be a possibility that the Pot of Golds show up only close to actual "grassland" within the forest. I've never seen one deep in the forest e.g. in the middle of Big Forest Isle.
Rocky Isle
Finding the one on Rocky Isle is simple. As soon as you arrive and follow the ridge it's waiting right there for you.
This is all easy, unless of course you don't know how to get there.
If you can't find your way, perhaps have a friend or another player escort you there.

Pebble Isle
The record press isn't hard to spot here.
Circle Forest Isle
The record press on Circle Forest Isle is just on the northern edge of the forest, due north of the dock entrance.
That's it for all the record presses! Hopefully you took some time while traveling to listen to them and become acquainted with each one. If not, try to make sure you can recognize each song: you'll need that knowledge upon your victorious return!
